Movie review(Journal 1)

Last night, I went to the cinema to have a relaxation from the pressure I have suffered from homework and quizzes during the whole week. The movie I watched was a newly released romantic comedy, named When In Rome.

The heroin of the movie, Beth, is a workaholic girl who works in a museum and never loved a man more than her job. One day, her little sister invited her to be the maid of honor of her sister’s wedding and met a hot guy called Nick. Both of them are single and they found they have kind of feelings on each other. However, because of misunderstanding, Beth think Nick already has a girlfriend. She goes to the fountain where people can make wishes in Rome and desperately picks up some coins from the fountain. There is a spell about the coins in that fountain that every coin represents the wish of love from a lonely heart. Then, four guys crazily fall in love with Beth. One is a chairman of sausage company, one is a model, one is a magician looking for his muse and one is a artist. Ar the same time, Nick also starts to show his love to Beth. These five guys begin to make lots of jokes in Beth’s life.

As a romantic comedy, When In Rome is the kind of movie that when you watch the start that you may know the end. It is always a happy ending. However, even it is a this kind of chick movie, I noticed that the cinema was still crowded and lots of people purchased to see this comedy, although they already know the end only when they watched the trailer. Therefore, I think these people were just like me, our purpose to see this movie is not just to know the end. We all know that the prince and princess will live happily ever after at the end of the fairy tale. We spent 6 bucks to see this movie was just to amuse ourselves in this cold winter night. Our lives are busy in the weekdays and we all need to find ways to relax and make ourselves happy. This film is perfect for us.

When In Rome is not a 3D movie like Avatar that brings you great visual feast and not a thriller movie that lets you scared even after a week. You don’t need think much about this movie, it won’t teach you some philosophy, just tells you to enjoy your life and chase the true love courageously. Hence, I greatly recommend this movie, When In Rome, to you. Crab your boyfriend or girlfriend this weekend and buy some popcorn, laugh with the characters in the movie and enjoy your free time without worrying about assignments and essays.

En...I like drawing and I have been a pencil sketcher for several years and now I am taking Art 140 which is really fun.

I have been in Urbana-Champaign for over half a year. And I like this place for some reasons. The cities are quiet and cute. People are friendly. However...I don't really love this place because the terrible weather...I like snow but not blizzards...I haven't seen blue sky seen I came back here on January 14th...Anyway...It is a good place to study and making friends.

Oops...I think I am talking too much not related to the class. Ok...now...back to the point, I start this blog for the Journals in ESL114. And probably this is also a great place to make friends! I like this class and...Joy is sooo cute!~~~~I like this kind of instructor. Hah~
