First, I want to say that the title of my last article should be"journal4". Ok...I must had been sooooo stressful to make that mistake.
Spring break is coming to its end. Now I am lying on the bed in a hotel near Michigan Avenue of Chicago. I am typing, of course. My boyfriend is sitting next to me and carefully assembling his newly bought toys. With nothing to do in this windy and chilly day, I start to remember...OMG! I still have homework due! Therefore, I begin to write this journal.
We left Champaign on friday night. Next morning, we took a plane to San Jose(we knew the pronunciation of this word from the airplane, it should be "san hosei" something like that...before that we always called it "san joss"). Why not fly directly to San Francisco? The first reason was the price was soooo high and the second reason was the times were all not good. All the flight flied to San Francisco directly arrived at near midnight. After arriving at San Jose, we took a train to San Francisco. By the way, I really liked San Jose, it was beautiful and warm and it was really quiet and peaceful. It was also the capital of silicon valley. What a wonderful city! Well well well...even this city was cute, we were still heading San Francisco.
San Francisco was also a cute city with great sunshine. The first night we went to Chinatown. However, the food disappointed us. Almost all the food in the restaurants were made for American people. The food was not that traditional and original. Next day, we went to Japantown. It was bigger than Chinatown and have fewer people. It was good and the ramen was great! We also found a nice japanese restaurant near our hotel which was on the market street. It had the best ramen in the city! We ate there twice hah!~XD
Pier 39 was a wonderful place in San Francisco. The seafood there were fresh and delicious! I strongly recommend the clam chowder. You can find this in nearly every restaurant in San Francisco...but the clam chowder near the seaside restaurants are the best. Hah!~~
It seemed that all my trip was full of eating....Almost...hah
Something upset also happened. My boyfriend and I both got bad cold during the vacation. It was really sad because both of us had not enough strength to travel for a long time. What was worse, we lost our camera!!! We only put the photos of first day into our laptop. Which means that we lost our sweet photos for the rest of the days!! OMG....that was sad...
Now I am in Chicago and I am leaving tomorrow. I was really tired these days so I am kind of want to go back...but I just want to go back to school without having classes, homework and exams. Hah...
Okay. That's it for today. See you then!~

Journal3
After a long time of thinking, I still cannot decide what to write for the journal. I really do not want to write a movie review again even though I have a strong feeling that I could possibly write again. Therefore, I decide to start writing something happened in my life these days, writing something small.
Next week I am going to have three midterms...Math231,Ealc275 and Econ 102. The one I afraid most is ealc...it's about masterpieces in east asian literature. I thought it would be easy before I started to take this class and I turned this class into an honors class to get honors credit for my James Scholar. However, as time passed by, I found out that this class is not that easy as I imagined. At first, it was about some Chinese literature and Philosophy like Confucious and Tang poems. But now, we are learning about Japanese Literature like the Tale of Genji and the Tale of Heike...They are totally confusing. The names are long and difficult to remember. Some of the names even look the same! The relationships in the novels are complicated and really freak me out...I am reading the course packet and books this weekend...I hope I can survive from the midterm...
How about talking about something happy? The spring break is coming!!! My plan is first going to San Francisco for about five days and then going back to Chicago for three days. I choose San Francisco because I really really want to go to somewhere warm, somewhere with sunshine and beach. Champaign is toooo cold...I have heard that the Chinatown in San Francisco is really nice and I just cannot wait to eat Asian food there! I miss Chinese food...
Okay...I really need to go back the review for the midterms next week...I hate midterms but I have to take them...Everybody feels the same I guess. Hah! Good luck with me><...And good luck to everyone~

Comparison and Contrast
Thesis statement:
Cats and dogs have distinctive personalities.
Topic1:
Dogs are active and cats are more passive.
Supporting details:
We can compare dogs and cats to human beings. Dogs are the type of people that always talk a lot and always out-going. But cats are the kind of people that always be quiet and do not like talking much. Dogs are quite easy-going and when guests come to their homes, they will be first checking the guests to see if they will attack the familiy. After their masters express them that the guests are friendly, they will be greeting the guests as their owners. But you never wish your cats can do this. No matter who comes, they would only focus on their own business and always ignore even their owners.
Topic2
Dogs are loyal to their masters but cats are more selfish.
Supporting details:
For example, dogs listen to every order their masters say. But cats do not even see anyone as their masters. They are their own masters. Dogs may do some silly trying to please their masters when masters feel upset. However, cats will never even do this. They only please themselves while probably making the house a mess. When intruders come to the house at night, dogs will scare them away but cats will first jump, proof up their fur and find a place to hide themselves.
Topic3
Dogs like to be accompanied while cats like living alone.
Supporting details:
Dogs may feel abandoned when their masters leave them. However, cats like to stay alone even you want to be with them and hold them.Dogs live in groups and can easily accept a new comer into the group. However, cats live alone most of the time. In wild cats do form groups, but it depends on whether there is enough food to hunt. And cats rarely accept new comer to enter into their territory.

The clocks
First of all, both of the two objects are bended clocks with hands pointing to six sharp. Also, the two clocks show the same meaning that the time is flowing away like liquid. There are also differences between the two clocks. The left one is a statue but the right one is a clock painted on a picture. The left clock is hanged on a tree while the right clock is put on a cube. On the other hand, the left one is melting like ice but the right clock is being broken into pieces.
